According to the National Family Caregivers Association, "nearly 40% of caregivers reduce their work hours or quit their jobs" in order to care for a family member.

Beacon Foundation provides temporary financial assistance to U. S. based Delta Air Lines flight attendants who are unable to work and financially support themselves and their immediate family members because either they are suffering from, or they are caring for an immediate family member who is suffering from, a serious/terminal illness, injury or disability.
